The Randomizer

Sometimes you should not be trusted with a decision. The Gizmo 421 Randomizer is four random tools in one — a number picker, a dice roller, a coin flipper, and a name-drawing winner picker — all running on cryptographic randomness, because if the universe is going to be random at you, you may as well get the good kind.

Every roll, flip, and pick uses the browser’s cryptographic random number generator with rejection sampling — the same quality of randomness as security keys, which is frankly overkill for choosing who refills the coffee and exactly the point. The number picker can draw a range with or without repeats, the dice roller covers d4 through d100 with totals, and the coin flipper tracks tallies and streaks for up to a thousand flips.

Is it actually random? It is cryptographically secure randomness, uniformly distributed — considerably better than shaking a physical dice cup. Can I use it for a giveaway? The name picker draws fairly from your list, and no, it cannot be convinced to pick your cousin. Does it store anything? Nothing. Your names and numbers never leave the page.
