Enter the bill, pick a tip percentage (or type your own), and split it across the table. The tip, the total, and each person’s share update live as you type — no mental math at the register, no calculator apps with ads.
How it works
Tip is the bill times the percentage: an 18% tip on a $64.50 bill is $11.61, for a $76.11 total. Splitting works on both numbers — four people on a $100 bill with a 20% tip each pay $30, of which $5 is tip. Type any percentage you like if the presets don’t fit; some countries expect 5%, many US states treat 18–20% as the sit-down standard, and counter service is often less or none.
Everyday examples
Restaurant for four: $128 bill, 18%, 4 people → $23.04 tip, $37.76 each. Barber: many people tip 15–20% on haircuts. Delivery: a flat $5–8 often beats 15% on small orders. Counter service: 10% or a round-up is common where no table service exists. If you’re splitting unevenly — someone ordered the steak — this tool is for the even split; for the rest, settle it over the calculator app of your choice.
